Really poor pickleball facility. Itβs located in a strip mall so the ceiling is so low that lobs are not an option. There are no staff there whatsoever (at least on the weekend). Instead, Big Brother is watching you β if you play on the wrong court or if you exceed your reservation time, the TVs display a message and an electronic voice disciplines you. I need to verify at which point I ever consented to be remotely monitored like that. Additionally, the other players were rather entitled and rude. I was trying out a new paddle on the practice court (while there were no other people there) and they gossiped among themselves that I was βusing the practice court for freeβ. Thankfully I will never have to return here. Do yourself a favor and do not come to the DTL Fairfax location.

I want to share an important heads-up for anyone booking a court at DTL | Down the Line Sports Center. When you reserve a court, you must pay both the court reservation fee and a day pass for every single person entering the facility β even if someone is only playing in turn for less than half hour. No on-site staff (even during the day time at weekends), so no one explained about the day pass at check-in, and two weeks later we were charged for a βmissingβ day pass without any prior notice or warning. There was no email, call, or clarification beforehand β just a charge. The facility itself is fine, but the billing policy and lack of communication were frustrating. I strongly recommend confirming the total charges upfront and making sure everyone in your group has paid for a day pass to avoid surprise charges later. Hopefully this helps others avoid the same situation.

I normally go to DTL Annandale but love booking private courts at the Fairfax location (itβs much smaller so no lobbing but great for drilling + cheaper). Overall a huge DTL stan.

Ceilings are very low so it's hard to get a proper lob in. There are only 3 courts in the facility. The leagues were poorly run and the guys at the front desk (except Brandon) weren't very with it - they were very disinterested and acted like they didn't want to be there. The only cool thing about this facility is the replay feature otherwise skip it and go to Dill Dinkers in Manassas or Chantilly.

Booked a 90min private lesson for a group of four people. Coach John Vaught was great, took the time to explain strategy, technique, and scoring. Our group (of beginners) walked away with a comprehensive understanding of the game. The facility was magnificent. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating upon arrival. I especially liked how our group name was displayed on the electronic video scoreboard, adding to the attention to detail that heightened the ambiance. Will do this again!!!
